Abstract:- Background Plantar fasciitis (PF) is an overuse injury causing inflammation at the origin of the plantar fascia and surrounding perifascial structures, such as the calcaneal periosteum, which affects about 10% of the population at least in one moment in life. Successful treatment of plantar fasciitis usually requires combined treatment modalities, rather than administering only one treatment at a time. This study is aimed to examine the effect of medial arch support with ultrasound therapy and exercises to manage plantar fasciitis. Method 10 subjects of both genders, with mean ± SD age of 44.90 ± 4.25years were selected on the basis of inclusion and exclusion criteria. The subjects were under a structured 6 weeks exercise program, medial arch supports and ultra sound therapy for each day for 6-days a week. Result There is statistically significant reduction in foot functional score index measures and improvement in range of motion of ankle joint with p value less than 0.05 after 6 weeks of supervised exercise program, ultra sound therapy and medial arch support. Conclusion The results of the present study, suggest that medial arch support with ultrasound therapy and exercise are effective for plantar fasciitis.

Abstract:- Genetic science is one of the branches of biology. By way of existing contacts and discussion in this field, we may discover similarity and dissimilarity of two living beings. In many parts of the world, the level of life expectancy has increased, while mortality rate has declined, which is mostly resulted from increased scientific knowledge and advanced equipment in human life that is in turn owed greatly to science of genetic engineering. Freedom in the domain of Genetic is mentioned in article 2 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights:"Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status." but this matter should be considered from the view point of the children themselves, which under the convention of children rights, the children must have desired personality growth and this processes begin from the early stages of life.

Abstract:- This report describes the orthodontic treatment of a 14-year-old boy with missing mandibular first molar. Titanium screw was placed in the buccal alveolar bone between the roots of the first and second premolar to provide absolute anchorage for protraction of the second molar into the atrophic edentulous area. More than 8 mm of protraction was done without significant lingual tipping of the incisors and a good posterior occlusion was achieved.

Abstract:- The effects of lycopene supplementation on PCB induced endocrine interference caused by PCBs in rat Sertoli cells of PCBs exposed adult rats was investigated. The severity of the endocrine disruption was determined by measuring Traits of reproductive organs; sperm characteristics, testicular histological findings, plasma testosterone levels and the testicular tissue oxidative status were determined. Induction of PCB to rats decreased sperm concentration (p<0.05) and sperm motility (p<0.001), increased total abnormal spermrates (p<0.05) as compared with the control group. An increase in testes malondialdehyde concentrations (p<0.05) and glutathione peroxidase activities (p<0.001) were detected while significant decreases in glutathione levels (p<0.001) in PCB alone group when compared to control group. While pre-treatment with lycopene restoring only malondialdehyde concentrations, its post-treatment caused normalization in both malondialdehyde and glutathione levels when compared with the PCB alone group. On the other hand, significant increases were determined in GSH-Px activities in all experimental groups when compared with the control group. In conclusion, lycopene supplementation was found to be able to diminish the severity of PCB induced endocrine disruption.

Abstract:- The requirement for rational use of drug (RUD) is that the right drug be used with the right dose, at the right interval and at the right duration. This study was carried out to determine the rational use of anti-asthmatic drugs and to investigate various factors that influence the selection of such drugs at the University College Hospital (UCH). The study was conducted between the period of two months of May 1st and June 30th, 2010. Four case notes of two male adults and two female adults from the medical out-patient records department were randomly selected and thoroughly studied. Patient A was prescribed 8 drugs including salbutamol and prednisolone as anti-asthmatic drugs. Patient B was prescribed 7 drugs including salbutamol and aminophylline as anti-asthmatic drugs. Patient C was prescribed 4 drugs including salbutamol as anti-asthmatic drug and patient D was prescribed 6 drugs including salbutamol, aminophylline and prednisolone as anti-asthmatic drugs. There was no potential drug interaction or adverse drug reaction documented for the patients. Other complications documented were hypertension and zeazure for patient A, diabetes mellitus for patient B, and chest infection in patient D. Although the patients were discharged and pharmacotherapy individualized, anti-asthmatics which were rationally used in the studies could be implicated by irrational use of drugs in the treatment of other complications.
