Abstract:- The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of Qi-Dan Fang (Astragalus and Salvia) in nephrotic syndrome rats induced by Adriamycin. The rats were divided into Control, Model, Jin Gui Shen Qi Pill, Qi-Dan Fang (High, Middle, Low dose) groups, they were performed by a single tail-intravenous injection of Adriamycin (6.0mg/kg) except Control group and administered orally the decoction of Qi-Dan Fang and Jin Gui Shen Qi Pill. The general condition and urine protein, blood pressure, auricle microcirculation, serum lipid were measured. The results showed that rats in treated groups possessed a better mental condition. Compared with Model group, the 24h urine protein, the blood pressure and levels of serum lipid total cholesterol (TC), serum triglycerides (TG) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) were obviously decreased; the auricle microcirculation and level of serum high-density lipoprotein (HDL) were increased. Therefore we confirmed that Qi-Dan Fang can improve Adriamycin-induced nephrotic syndrome by alleviating renal function and serum lipid.
